AVID 2/5-2/23

What is AVID?  AVID is a national college-readiness program, which stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination!   AVID’s mission is to close the achievement gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success in a global society.  Who are AVID students?  Most of the time AVID students are the first in their families to attend college, but MOST OF ALL are individually determined to meet their goals! AVID Elective is beneficial for students in the academic middle  – B and C students – who have the desire to go to college and the willingness to work hard.  These students are capable of completing rigorous curriculum but may be falling short of their potential.  If you are interested in applying to be part of the AVID program at TCHS please find an orange poster located downstairs near the stairwells and scan the QR code or type in the link to apply!
