Congratulations to the following JROTC Cougar Battalion Cadets that
competed on Saturday, 21 April 18, at Tyler State Park in Tyler, TX at the
NTOA End of Year Orienteering Championship. Out of 16 Schools and other
individual groups, our cadets placed in the following Award Course
Categories and received medals:

White Course (Male) – 7 Competitors

Colton Millar – 2nd Place – Silver
Isaac Alday   – 4th Place

White Course (Male) – 34 Competitors

Jacob Brasher   – 1st Place – Gold
Carlos Franco   – 2nd Place – Silver
Michael Love    – 4th Place
Reid Jackson    – 8th Place
Marcos Castillo – 12th Place

White Course (Female) – 20 Competitors

Chelsea Love    – 2nd Place – Silver
Emma Crawford   – 8th Place

Yellow Course (Male) – 26 Competitors

Gabriel Curtain – 1st Place – Gold

Orange Course (Male) – 16 Competitors

Rodrigo Lopez   – 3rd Place – Bronze

Green Course (Male) – 16 Competitors

Grant Harrington       – 11th Place
Joshwua Boortz         – 13th Place
Brian Pacheco          – 14th Place
Jesus Palacios Ortega  – 15th Place

***This was the first time that the cadets entered and conducted land
navigation on two of the more difficult courses (Orange and Green)
covering over 5.5 Miles of wooded terrain.
