Jason started playing hockey, and wasn’t bad, playing for a AAA Star Team, Jason played religiously. Throughout grade school Jason would continue to play influenced by the greats like, Wayne Gretzky, and Alex Ovechkin. In the end of his 8th grade year though he left his passion of hockey to pursue football another one of his favorite sports.

‘At first my departure from hockey was just to take a rest, but it turned out that i wanted to move on to play football.’

His break would last until his sophomore year where he would get his chance to get a taste what football had to offer with the encougement of his family and friends.

‘With support from my family and those close to me i’m able to push through the doubt that i had, but what really helped was the fact that everybody even my former coaches were supportive.”

Now that Jason is in football he is training harder than he ever did while in hockey, and even going as far as working out after school at Texas Family Fitness. He wants to be able to not only compete for a starting spot butg even play on varsity by his next school year.

By this time next year i would like to see myself play at tight end or D-line, along side all my friend. I also want to some day return to my roots and play hockey while also being in football.”

Playing hockey and football has led Jason to become more complete and also mature for his age, playing football helped disapene and hockey helped by showing that his limits could be tested.

“I know that the road still has something in store for me and all i have to do is continue to be the best I can be not only at football or hockey, but life in general and to me that’s all that is important, be better than i was yesterday.”
