Some may argue that one person can make a city love football and basketball, but when you have a star athlete like Keith Miller anything is possible.

Keith Miller is a sophomore who plays football and basketball, not only does he play at school but has played with basketball and football team outside in recreational style leagues.

“I don’t really see myself as a star on the team but cant lie about the fact that I know that I am good at what I do.”

Miller has gained many awards over the years but his latest being 2017 Offensive Newcomer of the Year, Miller has really made an impression on piers that are also stars in their respective positions and sports.

“It really helps to know that I can not only rely on my family and brothers in football and all my coaches.”

Miller is motivated not only by his teammates but also coaches and his entire family who are always present at every social and athletic gathering. The amount of support helps the athlete be the best person he can be on the field, on the court and in life.

“I don’t have a role model that is famous but I would have to say my mom would be, she is just a very strong woman and having her in my life really helps with everything.”

Miller has much support from family that alone can push him to be his best; it also help academically which shows as he is a sponge for information.

‘My family helps me a lot, but I have always wanted the competition, and it comes with sports, especially the ones I like (basketball and football).”

Miller has been in and on recreation leagues since the age of 6, and one that has impacted the most being The Tigers a recreational league team that he has made many friends while playing.

“My favorite sports moment has to be playing each and every game and they just overlap, but outside the court and hashes it has to be getting up on stage getting my award at the banquet.”

Miller was presented the 2017 Offensive Newcomer of the Year, for the 2017 – 2018 football season, Miller helped connect with not only the current quarterback (Mikey Harington) but also Jemel Jones Jr.

“My goals in life are to just be the best athlete I can possibly be and would like to go to college for football or basketball and eventually go to the draft for the NBA or NFL.

Miller has high hopes for his future but, with his talent and need to play makes all dreams and hopes near reality with hard work and the determination he has to offer to any endeavor he may pursue. Miller is currently a sophomore and still learning, but sky’s the limit and he is most likely to continue being a varsity starter and being a superstar athlete for years to come, at and away from school.

“I just wanna be the best on any team I play on either football or basketball.”
